Mediterranean garden around a contemporary swimming pool
- Dimensions: 5 000 m²
- Plants: Grasses, verbena, ornamental garlic
Spanning 5,000 m², this Mediterranean garden on the edge of a forest combines elegance with differentiated space management.
The refined garden is organised around a swimming pool with contemporary lines. Around this pool, the garden's spaces unfold: beach and terrace, vast lawn, pétanque court, vegetable garden... The garden is based on a plant palette that creates natural atmospheres, with graphic perennials and shrubs bearing distinctive blooms.
In this project, the landscape designer experimented with new plant combinations such as large areas of grasses (Stipa) combined with verbena (Verbena rugosa) and ornamental alliums (Allium giganteum). This plant selection evokes a natural meadow enhanced with pink flowers. This plant combination also highlights white-flowering shrubs (dogwood, magnolia or serviceberry).
Two walls revisit the concept of a privacy screen and create a separation between the pool area and the pétanque area: one, painted red, is pierced with vertical “windows”, the other, lower, is clad with dark stones. This mineral screen is complemented by a green screen of black-caned bamboo.
