Mediterranean natural garden
This refined garden showcases a swimming pool with contemporary lines. Around the pool, a variety of outdoor living spaces are arranged: sunbathing area and terrace, expansive lawn, pétanque court, vegetable garden... The garden is built around a plant palette that creates natural atmospheres, with perennials and shrubs chosen for their graphic form or distinctive flowering.
In this project, the landscape designer was able to experiment with new plant combinations, such as large swathes of grasses (Stipa) paired with verbena (Verbena rugosa) and ornamental alliums (Allium giganteum). This combination evokes a natural meadow dotted with delicate pink flowers. It also serves to highlight white-flowering shrubs such as amelanchier, dogwood, and magnolia.
Two walls — the first, painted red and pierced with vertical "windows", the second lower and clad in dark stone — reinterpret the privacy screen and create a separation between the pool area and the pétanque court. This mineral filter is complemented by a plant screen of black-cane bamboo.
