Les propriétaires de cet ensemble de bâtiments en pierre souhaitaient mettre en valeur et apporter une touche de modernité à leur bien. C’est un projet particulièrement complet puisqu’il a fallu mettre en valeur les différentes constructions et redistribuer les pièces, proposer un aménagement ainsi qu'une terrasse en bois.

Cette maison est composée en réalité de trois bâtiments : deux bâtisses anciennes qui servaient de logement et de crèche pour les animaux dans les années 1910. Dans les années 70, une extension « disgracieuse » avait été construite pour relier ces 2 bâtiments.

Afin de mettre en valeur les différentes constructions, les bâtiments anciens ont conservé crépi blanc et pierre apparente, l’extension existante a été modernisée par un bardage bois. Ce choix permet à l'architecte de mettre en avant la différence entre les deux constructions tout en faisant ressortir les deux constructions anciennes.

The owners of this group of stone buildings wanted to enhance and bring a touch of modernity to their property. It is a particularly comprehensive project, as it required showcasing the various structures, redistributing the rooms, proposing a layout and creating a wooden terrace.

This house is in fact made up of three buildings: two old structures that served as housing and a livestock shelter in the 1910s. In the 1970s, an “unsightly” extension was built to connect these 2 buildings.

In order to highlight the different structures, the old buildings retained their white render and exposed stonework, while the existing extension was modernised with wood cladding. This choice allows the architect to emphasise the difference between the two types of construction while bringing out the character of the older buildings.
