Mediterranean garden with swimming pool

Goals of this Mediterranean garden with pool landscaping project:

• Create a transition on the scale of a graphic garden
• Restructure the outdoor living spaces of this Provençal villa
• Combine Mediterranean plants with long flowering periods.

To carry out this project, the landscape designer implemented four main actions:

• The terraced retaining wall was turned into a reading area, nestled in a space with lush Mediterranean vegetation. This space is arranged in such a way that it gives the illusion of floating above the pool.
• The surrounds of the existing swimming pool were extensively revamped. A vast wooden terrace was created. On the retaining wall, decorative facing stones were added.
• The summer kitchen was completely renovated. Nearby, an outdoor shower combines practicality and aesthetics.
• The landscape designer selected Mediterranean plant species and planted them in undulating lines. The aim is to create a rhythm in the garden space while achieving a sense of depth.
