Landscaping of a provencal panoramic view point garden

Ce jardin-belvédère est totalement structuré autour du magnifique panorama qu’il offre sur les paysages de la Provence Verte et du parc naturel régional du Verdon. L’oliveraie existante a été conservée. Une piscine rectangulaire a été créée parallèlement à la maison.
Côté gazon
D’un côté de cette piscine, un gazon en plaques crée une plage fraîche et douce, d’où profiter de la vue à la fois sur le mas contemporain et sur le paysage environnant.
Côté terrasse en bois
De l’autre, une chaleureuse terrasse en bois répond à la terrasse en travertin existante, située en surplomb. Deux grandes jardinières en pierres du Var qui encadrent un large escalier en bois permettent une transition de caractère entre ces deux espaces.
Végétaux à l'ambiance champêtre
Dans ces jardinières ont été plantés divers végétaux qui créent une ambiance champêtre. Achillées, graminées, agapanthes, verveines, gauras... y fleurissent du printemps à l’automne. Ces plantes dansent au gré de la brise, ce qui donne du mouvement et apporte de la légèreté au jardin.
L’oeil du paysagiste concepteur
Les volets roulants constituent un élément de sécurité très fiable et permettent également de réduire le refroidissement de l’eau au cours de la nuit malgré le manque d'esthétisme lorsqu’ils sont enroulés en bout de piscine.
La piscine a été dotée d’une plage immergée qui intègre un volet roulant. Grâce à cette astuce technique, une fois ouvert, le volet roulant est totalement invisible.
This belvedere garden is entirely structured around the magnificent panorama it offers over the landscapes of Provence Verte and the Verdon Regional Natural Park. The existing olive grove has been preserved. A rectangular swimming pool was created parallel to the house.
The lawn side
On one side of this pool, a slab lawn creates a fresh and soft beach, from which to enjoy the view of both the contemporary farmhouse and the surrounding landscape.
The wooden terrace side
On the other, a warm wooden terrace responds to the existing travertine terrace, positioned above. Two large planters in Var stone framing a wide wooden staircase allow for a distinctive transition between these two spaces.
Plants with a countryside feel
Various plants have been planted in these planters, creating a rural atmosphere. Yarrow, grasses, agapanthus, verbena, gauras... bloom there from spring to autumn. These plants dance in the breeze, giving the garden movement and lightness.
The landscape designer's eye
Roller shutters are a very reliable safety feature and also help reduce water cooling during the night, despite their lack of aesthetics when rolled up at the end of the pool.
The pool was fitted with a submerged beach incorporating a roller shutter. Thanks to this technical trick, once open, the roller shutter is completely invisible.
