Corporate office space interior design
- Objectives: Personalize and decompartmentalize professional premises
- Dimensions: 300m²
- Style: Contemporary, African
A pharmaceutical laboratory asked us to personalise the workspaces and relaxation areas of a 300m² building under construction as part of an office space design project. This building had been commissioned a few years earlier by the laboratory with the aim of expanding, by enlarging the work and storage areas.
The initial plans represented a completely partitioned space that did not take into account the client’s brief. The proportions of the spaces were not suited to their organisation and moreover, the interior architecture in no way reflected the evolution of this growing company — everything was standardised.
The uniqueness of this company: it is run by a Franco-Burkinabe family. This identity had to be transcribed in the interior design by combining a contemporary and very refined character with deep-rooted African heritage. An innovative spirit was needed, playing on codes that evoke travel memories and create a sense of closeness; a parallel between home and office. The graphics, colours and materials had to be subtly chosen so that this space could speak to both employees and company partners.
It was also necessary to adapt to the context of the building while still making the personality of the company’s owners felt.
