Renovation of a farmhouse
Ce corps de ferme rassemblait trois maisons en une. Déjà agrandie par le passé, cette bâtisse était répartie sur quatre différents niveaux (RDC, RDC et demi, R+1 et R+1 et demi).
L’objectif dans le cadre de la rénovation de ce corps de ferme était de simplifier les espaces, de modifier la distribution des pièces ainsi que la circulation dans la maison.
Les pièces à vivre se trouvaient à l’origine au RDC. Nous avons décidé de « retourner » la maison en plaçant la cuisine, la salle à manger et le salon au niveau R+1.
Cette nouvelle distribution a permis d’aménager de belles pièces à vivre, en récupérant les combles pour créer une double hauteur. La salle à manger a été ouverte sur une grande terrasse.
Le fait de placer les chambres au RDC permet de conserver les ouvertures existantes de la façade sur la rue.
Deux entrées ont été créé pour cette maison : l’une à l’ouest qui donne accès à l’escalier qui mène au salon, et l’autre à l’est relie l’accès à la terrasse et les chambres du RDC.
This farmhouse brought together three houses in one. Already extended in the past, this building was spread across four different levels (ground floor, ground floor and a half, first floor and first floor and a half).
The objective of this farmhouse renovation was to simplify the spaces, to reorganise the layout of the rooms as well as the circulation within the house.
The living areas were originally on the ground floor. We decided to « flip » the house by placing the kitchen, dining room and living room on the first floor.
This new layout made it possible to create beautiful living spaces, by reclaiming the attic to create a double-height ceiling. The dining room was opened onto a large terrace.
Placing the bedrooms on the ground floor allows the existing openings on the street-facing facade to be retained.
Two entrances were created for this house : one to the west giving access to the staircase leading up to the living room, and the other to the east connecting access to the terrace and the ground-floor bedrooms.
